Games Rigging and Animation

For the first basic task of the module, we were shown how to create a basic set of legs using the joint tool and I.K handle tool in maya. This is what will be the basis for animation. He explained what keyframes where and that there was one for scale, movement and rotation and that all have to be utilised to create a believeable animation






Our basic walk was more of a ski-shuffle. We used forwards and backwards keyframes on the feet to make the legs appear to slide forwards. As a first step, i really enjoyed this and could see myself wanting to follow animation alot further and as my possible chosen genre within the industry.
